7 Pounder Randel Carriage

Go Back

This 7-pounder model cannon sports Randel carriage wheels which were manufactured in King Williams Town prior to 1877.  The rugged terrain of the Eastern Cape lead to the destruction of the orginal wheels and needed to be replaced with a more robust design.  These were manufactured by a wheelwright in King Williams Town and you will note that they are more solid in construction than their predecessors.
